A sad day for us here.... my son's little Havanese girl passed away sometime in the middle of the night.... Asleep in her bed... looking very peaceful...

She showed no signs so this is a complete shock to us... though she was 10 years old, she was a happy, bouncy little ball of fluff ... never slowing down... tail constantly wagging... bright clear eyes.... we just never saw it coming.

The kids are with their dad for the summer and I haven't told them yet...

Sammy was the light of my son's life.... they had a very special bond.... she slept with him every night, waited by the door every school day knowing that he'd be walking in to play at any moment... he'd even call and I'd hold the phone to Sam's ear and he'd talk to her when he was away at his dad's.

Please say a little prayer that the saddness will soon fade... and be replaced in my son's heart, by happy memories of his baby girl.

My son's name is Drew.... he is 11...

Rest in peace precious Samara....
