I would absolutely follow the directions given by the vet. Not taking the full round of antibiotics can be more harmful because if all of the bad bacteria are not killed, they can mutate, and you can end up with a "superbug." They will learn to become resistant to that antibiotic which will cause problems if your baby needs those antibiotics in the future.

I would also highly suggest that you put your baby on probiotics. Not only is it beneficial for those who get yeast infections, it also replenishes the friendly flora or good bacteria that the antibiotics kill....
