I got my pup very young too and at that time I didn't know any different. Good breeders won't let their pups go before 10 weeks, usually closer to 12 weeks or more if they're small.
The only advice I have is to ask the vet. I don't know much about their little feet. Good Luck, I hope your baby is OK. Make sure you feed very often, as their sugar can drop quickly when they are so young. Sounds like you're a concerned owner and will do everything you can for your baby!! Good for you.
