I'm sorry nobody has answered your question.
I think this is a difficult question because it would be wrong to say not to take a puppy that has thrown up to the vet. Then again, it only happened once and all seems fine.
To be on the safe side, I would suggest that you call your vet and ask them what to do. And the hot dog causing it is a possibility.
