I am going through something similar and my Yorkie just turned 1 year. He has been that way since day one. I try and walk him every day for about 45 minutes. When I get home he likes to do the same thing, run around play fetch with various toys.

I started buying him rawhide strips (not the ones that look like cigars) the flat kind that are about 2-4" by about 6-8" so I can hold on to one end and let him chew and tug. This seems to satisfy the need to chew or bite. I try to substitute something when he starts to chew on fingers. He mostly mouths fingers and hands, not really biting, but we don't like to let him get started.

Sounds like yours is waiting for you to get home and has a lot of pent up energy that has to come out.... and does. Better than a dog that is too sedate. Mine has settled down some after a year but still has plenty of energy. If you could make time to exercise yours for even 20 minutes in the morning, it might make it a little easier when you get home.

Hope it works
