I am from West Tennessee so I can't help you there. But maybe you could build an adjorning room that looks like another small house. Just kidding. I have five dogs in the house with me and we are thinking of adding on to the house and giving the dogs their own room.

Here in Sardis (a/k/a Star Dust it is a really small town, Andy Griffin even - no stop lights.) There was a man down the road from us that had a goat and a dog in the house. {Not all of us are snaggle tooth, hayseed, barefoot hill billies with straw hanging from only two teeth} I am glad we don't have those restriction here.
