I think the best thing I taught Winston is "stay" and "leave it". Both of these commands may save his life if needed. He will stay until I tell him okay, which would come in handy if he ever got loose or I needed him to stop for any reason. If I tell him to leave it...he will walk away from whatever has his attention.
Of course he also knows many words...it amazes me how very much he understands. My husband and I find ourselves spelling words like walk, new ball, or treat...hope he never learns how to spell too, but I bet he'll catch on to that as well!!!
