A neighbor down the road had something similiar happen but it was because the septic tank was old and gave way, they had to put in a new system. There's sunk about three feet. Hopefully someone can find out and it won't be difficult to take care of. Please be real careful around it.

Patti We had a Guy comed out and look at it and he says it is a old cistern the Old style water holding tank so to hold water collected http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-cistern.htm We have people coming out on Tuesday to look into it further. Thank God we know people
