It sounds like you are working it out. These mommas can work you to death. They are so spoiled. When my babies are about 4 weeks old I remove them from the whelping box and just put some bedding at one end of the x-pen and then their pee pads and food and water. I put a board across one end of the x-pen so mom can jump in and out of the x-pen when she wants to.
