This is as far as she needs to go. if she barks and seems miserable, so be it. These babies have to be taken care of. i just went thru the same thing wioth one of my mamaa's as far as not wanting to stay but I MADE her stay and at times, I even had to physically hold her down so the babies could nurse. She HAS to stay with the babies. You are moving them too much and this in itself iss upsetting her. The more you move them, the more she will move them. |
First, they have been confined from the start we took the gate off to let her out for a little bit. We did place her back once she tried to take them out. And we tried moving them once. She was fine after we placed her back in she does whine but stays with them. We did have to hold her down once to let them feed. She is good now. I know what all she needs in her whelping area we have her whelping area in a big walk in closet. One side is where pee pads are one area has her food and water and the rest is where they lay. I have done everything by the book ever since she got pregnant and i let her out this one time so that she could come out but still be near the puppies and that is when she wanted to bring them out with her. She is good now feeding and leaving them in there as she is confine with them in her area.
