I'm like Carol and Buddy -
My girls aren't tinies so I do walk them even in Houston heat around my apartment complex. I have a back patio with a tent and Fake Grass so they can 'go' there.... but we do 2 walks a day -
1 in the early am and another when I get home from work. They have me totally trained - I can't skip the walks due to the heat or I'll see 2 accusing sad faces all night long
My apt complex has lots of grass and trees but I try to walk them on the sidewalks due to the 'other' pets that we share grass with... so we can't avoid the concrete......I tried it barefoot and it's not too bad .....
We are out and back in under 10 minutes with the heat....just enough time for them to be happy and me to not feel guilty.
