yes, def nutra cal! i've heard nothing but good reviews on it.
i understand that i should just keep the puppy on its current food the breeder is feeding. thing is, the breeder is currently using Black Gold Puppy Food and i read some not so great reviews on it. i think i'll eventually wean the puppy off of that (gradually, of course) and switch to a better food brand. |
Just so you know, the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America (YTCA) Code of Conduct mandates that all Yorkie puppies stay until at least 12 weeks old. Any reputable breeder worth buying from would follow that rule.
8) All puppies leaving the breeders possession will be a minimum of twelve (12) weeks of age to facilitate adequate socialization as well as appropriate emotional and temperament development through interaction with siblings, dam and other dogs. Yorkshire Terrier Club of America
Also, you should definitely not switch foods for a week or two. Your puppy will need time to adjust to it's new environment. Now is not the time to switch up it's food, too.
