I am glad he is doing better. Buddy gets pretty sore after a vaccination, and we give baby aspirin if he is really bad. If you only gave the Benadryl as a precautionary measure I would avoid that in the future. The Benadryl is why he just sat there and would not walk around, it just completely wears them out. Before you swear off vaccinations I would talk to your vet or maybe a different one about what occured and how to prevent it in the future. Although I agree dogs are over vaccinated, vaccinations due provide them with protection from some very serious illnesses. Also keep in mind if you do not vaccinate him it is pretty much a guarantee that no groomer or boarding facility will ever allow him in. They have to protect everones animals.
