It's all my fault It's all my fault. Deegan's been in puppy class for 6 weeks now. And the instructor has praised us for doing so well the whole entire time. Unfortunetly, our last class really opened my eyes to a problem I have with Deegan. While he has learned everything very well, and follows commands. The instructor pointed out to me that he is very dependant on treats. If he does not see a treat, he will not do what you ask. I can't believe that I didn't realize this on my own, but when ever I practice with him I always have treats. And now, I don't know how to correct the situation. I really have to do something before graduation, which is in two weeks, but what?
And on top of it I need to teach him a trick to perform for graduation day too. Anyone have any cool trick ideas that I could try?
Any advice would be welcomed. |
