Ok what we do is, first we gentle massage his throat and with one finger up and down which usually stops immediately if he's still doing it then we cover the tip of his nose with our finger tip. Hope this helps and remember to be gentle and calm. also want to tell you that he's been doing it a since we got him 2 1/2 years ago but now he does it allot less.
