I agree the show was good but I disagreed on several points. If you think back to 9-11 after the bombing had taken places thousands of people walked...walked home, not knowing if more was to come or not. The people in New orlenes could have left (they had several days notice). I can say for myself not matter what, had I known what was comming I would have walked with all my babies in tow just to try and get out to somewhere safe. Many of these people stayed, even with warnings and waited for someone else to come and get them. Also many people that did try and come in to help people were SHOT at. I am sorry, but I cannot think of another disater, where resuce workers were putting their lives on the line becasue the people they were trying to help took out a gun and used them for target practice. Yes I understand that not everyone did this, however to say it was only the governments problem is ridiculous. I would dare say had it been in an afflunt white neighborhood, or any afflent neighborhood for that matter had the rescuees been shoting at the rescuers it would have slowed down the process.

Instead of trying to place blame on people for a natural disater we should be helping, people should put away their stupid artilery and instead of taking target at those trying to help, also get up and try to encourage oters to help as well. Babies raped, people killed for no reason other than greed or selfishness. President Bush did not cause these people to act like this, they did it. Not everyone, but a few have obviously slowed down the many. Stop placing blame on an administration, I am sure no matter who was in office the situation would have been similar. This was not about politcs, it was mother nature and her fury.

Like I said, I would have left, and I mean that. I also had family that lived there that lost everything except their lives, and no, not all of them had transportation, in fact my uncle his wife and 4 children did walk out, becasue it was all they could do.
