at 10 months - they have tons and tons of energy....it sounds like you're trying but if possible I'd let him have some more freedom ....

who ever said a puppy calms down at 10 months must have had one laid back yorkie. Mine are 6 & 4 and still play like they're puppies
During the school year they are caged for quite a bit but this summer (especially this past week) they've been out almost every hour of every day. When we leave for like an hour or so we just put a belly band on Franklin and leave them out. We only put him up at night or if we'll be gone longer than an hour which is like once a day for about 2-3 hours.
