This is what I've been doing to get Gus on scheduled mealtimes. I used to free-feed him and leave his kibble out all day. Since he got neutered, he seems to be gaining a bit of weight, and I'm concerned that he's eating too much of it. (Either that, or my son is going heavy on the treats while I'm at work!) To be on the safe side, I decided just to start feeding him regular meals twice a day. Mixing in the wet food was the only way I could get him to eat exactly when I wanted him to on the first day.
(P.S. This has also resulted in scheduled poops, which is utterly awesome!) |
