I have a houseful of Yorkies. I have a crate that I put a pile of towels down in and when I have given the first dog a bath and toweled him/her off, I pop him/her into the crate and turn my blowdryer on. I make sure the blowdryer is far enough away that the dog can't be burned but yet close enough that the dog isn't cold. It varies by the dog. The smaller ones have to have the blowdryer closer to them.
While that dog is drying, I wash another. Usually by the time the 2nd dog is washed, conditioned and rinsed, the first dog in the crate is ready to brush out. By the time the 3rd dog is washed, conditioned and rinsed the first dog is dry. Give a quick rebrush and that one is on it's way to playtime.
It works kind of like an assembly line. Until I wear out. LOL I know you were asking about groomers but I thot maybe you would like to do the washing yourself. Then maybe they will charge less because they didn't bathe your baby. Sylvia |
