It depends how many dogs you have and how often they use them. If you only have one dog, the bacteria on the toys are his, so I wouldn't worry too much. Bacteria can't live if the surface isn't moist anyways. Joey used his toys much more the first year than the second, and was always chewing on them, so they needed cleaning at least once a month. Now, I rarely wash them. Plastic and rubber can go in the dishwasher, and stuffed toys in washing machine. I must say I think the dog's toys wash better than the children's toys of yesteryear. |
