I try demanding for her to sit or go lay down but she only continues to growl and paw. Now I am thinking I made a terrible mistake for ever giving her little nibbles of what I was eating. Do you do this too or what can I do to get her to stop begging? I throw her a treat but obviously I can't give her too many, and giving her toys doesn't distract her either.

She is serious about wanting my plate.
Well, you haven't done anything the rest of us haven't done at one time or another. My advice? Just stop giving her anything from the table. My experience? Stop and eventually you'll have peaceful meals again. In fact, because of the risk of pancreatitis in these yorkies you don't want to feed them table food. I'm being very serious here. Pancreatitis is very serious and can be fatal. I think every yorkie should come with a pancreatitis warning attached to them. If you have or can get hold of a playpen or xpen then you can put her in that while you eat. If you stop giving her bites from the table now, she will soon stop begging and let you eat in peace.
