I have a carseat for Sandy that straps to the front seat. (Bucket seat. It straps around the top and bottom of the seat vertically. The top goes around the headrest.) It can also be changed to strap horizontally to the back seat. Her harness straps to the seatbelt.

I am currently looking at the big booster ones that all 3 of them can ride in. So they are up where they can see out.. and still be attached to the seatbelt.
