She always manages to become distracted by something---anything, and if there is nothing to distract her she likes to roll her face in the grass or sniff the trails of previous kitty/K9 passersby. Sometimes she will have me outside FOREVER, and finally after I give up and go inside in the house she decides to use the bathroom. My sister says I should stay outside until she does potty, no matter how long it is but it is not fun standing in the hot sun for an hour or more and I have other things to do. She does potty outside sometimes, most often in the mornings as opposed to nighttime, but there isn't a lot of progress there either. So I was just wondering if I am the only one faced with this problem. How long are you outside before your little girl or boy goes to the bathroom? |
Yes. When they are babies, you can be out there for what seems like forever! The good thing is that it will eventually pass and in the end all of your exhausting and hard work will have been worth it. It takes a ton of patience. Just keep telling her to go potty and one of these days she might surprise you and go on command.
