I and the Gang here at LT's are so very sorry for your untimely loss, even when you know it's coming it is hard. But the suddeness makes it even more difficult to deal with. From what I read you went above and beyond in all that you done for him, starting with rescuing him to a happy and love filled home. You done everything right by the book as far as the cooling down goes and getting him to your vet straight away. It will take time but God has a way of healing all things.

Jenn
I want to tell you how much I admire you in making such a very difficult choice. Loving someone (be it people or animal) enough to make the choice to end thier suffering is the greatest love of all. You gave CD the love and understanding he needed and the life he deserved all along.
The fact that you were so quick in the medical attention that he needed speaks even louder for the love you had for him.
I know that right now it's hard to imagine but, CD will never leave your side and when the time is here he will greet you at the gate just as if you and he had never been apart. It was his time and God must have needed a very special canine angel for a very important mission.
God Bless you Jenn for being the person that you are and to your Mother for being the person she is to have raised such a loving and caring daughter.
Our hugs and Prayers to you and your family.
CD enjoy your time at the bridge my little canine friend, I have several of my babies there that I bet are happy to have a new playmate. God's speed and a safe journey. Terri and the LT Gang
