I have been using olive oil since the middle of May and am pleased with the results. I do not use too much, just enough to help but not oily enough to be a mess on the furniture and stuff. (But I was told to really oil them up and then put them in a crate for a couple of hours, then pull them out and rub them down softly/gently with a towel so they are not too oily.) With the olive oil I only have to do it once a week. I use Dawn to remove the oil before show days.
Oh....and it does not matter, you can use the keep olive oil.
