I bathe in the kitchen sink once a week. Be sure to brush all the tangles out before you bathe or the tangles will turn into matts. I brush & comb my dogs at least twice a day. I use a Chris Christensen pin brush and a stainless steel comb (a lot of people LOVE the Chris Christensen buttercomb). Mine are really really good in letting me put their hair up. I just lay them in my lap with their head facing away from me and comb their hair back into a topknot. Be sure to use actual grooming bands that are latex and coated. I then put the bow or barrette in. Rylie likes to rub his head when I put his hair up but he's getting better about leaving it alone. It just takes patience and giving them time to get used to it all.
