How long before they have information back about the tumor? Do they have a form of treatment for her?
The type of tumor Michelle has is called a meningioma. Here is some information on that type of tumor:
Meningioma

From what I read about this type of tumor it is divided into 3 different types and it sounds like Michelle's is a type 2 or type 3. Experts are unsure what causes these types of tumors but I have read on other websites that chemical exposure can cause them. Michelle works for the church and does all the cleaning and does not wear gloves so it is possible that could have contributed to the tumor. Plus the fact that she smokes. These types of tumors are more common in women. It also says that some experts think there could be a link to hormones that causes them. Since Michelle has had a hysterectomy I don't know if there can be any connection there. I know we will never know the exact cause.

I think they said it could take up to a week to get the biopsy back. There is a lot of information we do not know yet and I am sure we will find out more once the biopsy comes back. What I do know is that they clipped the main vessel that was feeding the tumor and the doctors hope that will cause the tumor to stop growing. I know there is a possibility she will need radiation treatment. I think they will know more after they do the next MRI and I don't know how long until they do another one of those. The doctor mentioned maybe having to go in again later after the remaining tumor has shrunk and try to remove it. We really just don't know at this point. Michelle is already telling David that she will not go through this surgery again. I know she feels horrible. We just have to keep faith that the worst is over and Michelle will make a speedy recovery.
