Hi all,

Thanks again for all your wonderful, welcome and informative knowledge and advice. I am relieved, to say the least. I still wonder if it is okay to feed her some snacks. I gave her a raw carrot to knaw on and she did bite tiny pieces off, but then she got bored. Also, I'm going to need some very very tasty treats/snacks for training purposes. What do you all suggest? She is not house trained yet, does not yet walk on a leash, comes to me inconsistently, and really does not do anything by command, not even sit, so I have some training to do. What is the best treat to use under these circumstances?

By the way, I did weigh her. When I first got her, she was between 1.8 and 2 lbs. I think it was her ideal weight. In the last few months while home cooking, she went up to 2.6 to as high as 2.8 lbs. This does not sound like alot, but believe me, it made a difference!!!

Yes Ellie May, she loved to share our food (unseasoned of course) at the dinner table. She loved to nibble on fruit, raw veggies, yogurt, cottege cheese, cheese of any kind, peanut butter, etc. etc. She just LOVES food!!!! I think she misses this, I really do, even if she is not Really hungry.

Today she was 2.4 lbs. She loves to eat-to say the least. So losing a few ounces may be a good thing. Even though the numbers are only tiny ounces, on her-- it really makes a difference. I can't even feel any ribs at this point. Her frame is so very small.

When home cooking I was worried about her weight because she is so verrrry verrrry tiny, and I worried about the effects on her joints and skeletal system. I also had her spayed during that time. I think I was over feeding her because I was trying to compensate for not being able to get any supplement into her. Any thoughts? Shellie
