I am really starting to get concerned about Ellie's knee. She doesn't really have symptoms but it does crack a lot and she doesn't want to jump quite as much as she used to (good thing but I'm worried about why).
Anyway, I do not want arthritis to set in because most pain medications are out of the question for her. LP surgery should never even need to be considered in this case and I wouldn't want her to be under for that long with her liver anyway. I know glucosamine is not a great choice for liver compromised dogs but it is better than something like Rimadyl later, soooo I think I am going to start her on something.
I have heard so many people say that Cosequin is very expensive and I have found that to be true but KV Vet has it:

If a Yorkie only needs 1/2 pill a day after the 6 week period, that is only $50 a year. What am I missing?
