Unfortunately this is what happens when you live in a neighborhood with an HOA. It's a win/lose situation, they take care of a lot or problems and are instrumental in keeping property values from diminishing, but at the same time, they can be a PITA with rules sometimes.

I can understand if there is an ongoing problem w/ dogs 'going' in other people's yard that they would put guidelines like these into effect...until they do and actually enforce them, the problem will likely continue. YOU may be doing your part to clean up any messes, but apparently there are other dog walkers that aren't. As far as the peeing part, I'm on the fence about that...highly acidic urine can kill grass and cause brown spots. Being married to someone who's pride and joy is his weed free, super green lawn, I can understand why some people would be upset if their yard were being damaged by someone else's dog....true it's 'just a yard', but the point is, it's their yard. I personally could care less if a dog pees on my yard...but then again, there haven't been any brown spots popping up around the mailbox either.
