I put my boys in their lifejackets when we go out in the pool area. They are 3 years old and know the pool but they get riled up when the kids are in and run around and have fallen in a few times w/o jackets on. So now I put on their jackets. I also never let them out there w/o me there to watch them like a hawk. That would be such a tragic accident to lose them that way.
