My Tia is a Morkie. I got her when she was just a little under a year old. Someone bought her then put her in our local newspaper when they decided they didn't want her anymore. One of the things I do not like about purposely mix breeding is that someone sees a a specific mix, falls in love and then assumes that if they buy that same mix it will look the same as the dog they fell in love with. That does not happen. Because it's a mix no one knows what that puppy will look like as an adult. I've seen many buy a mix and then when it grows up it's not what they expected and it ends up in rescue or shelter. I really urge anyone that loves the mix of the Yorkie and Maltest to PLEASE not buy but rather adopt. There are so many beautiful little mixes or designer breeds as they call them in rescue. The best part is when you adopt the adoption fee you pay also includes the spay or neuter, the shots and any vetting the pup needed prior. Also consider adopting an older dog or young adult there is an upside to that in that you will know exactly what your dog will look like as an adult and how big he or she will be as the growing is done Elaine
