Now today, he completely ignored it and ran away from the food. Does this mean I have to switch kibble? At night, I mix a couple tablespoons of wet in with dry, and he readily eats it, no problem. I want him to learn to eat dry food, so I don't want to give him wet in the morning too...He is not a teeny pup, 5.5 lbs, but still, if he doesn't eat in the morning, he has to wait till 6pm for dinner. What do I do? | he's probably holding out until you put wet food in his dish. Personally I would stop giving wet all together if you want him to eventually eat only dry. He will eat when hungry. Since he's a pup you can leave the food out all day until he eats it. if he was a little older i'd suggest scheduled feedings but he needs the opportunity to be able to eat when he wants.
