Skeeter is 5 months and 3 weeks old now. I switched him to twice a day a few days ago. He was eating 1/2 cup of dry food per feeding. Now he eats a little over 1/2 cup twice a day. His interest in eating had deteriorated but by cutting out a feeding he is eating pretty well again. In fact he can be a little pig. My husband can't be swayed for giving him 1/2 of a dog biscuit 3 or 4 times a day so I think that supplements his meals too.
I would LOVE to leave food out all the time but I have a geriatric Shi tzu and a monster german shepherd both on special diets. They would gobble up any food that was left out so I HAVE to feed them separately. Then there is Adie who is on regular food for adult yorkies. Skeeter eats puppy food.
