I'm not sure if this advice is 100% accurate but it may be worth a shot. You have two options that I can think of.
Option 1: You can completely stop mixing his dry food with wet food and he will eat when he is hungry. It's instinct to eat. This may not be the best method but I have heard of it being done.

Option 2: You can mix.
Example: Day 1- Morning and evening mix dry and wet 50/50.
Day 2- Morning and evening mix dry and wet with more dry then wet.
And so on until you have just dry food in there. Hopefully it helps. Otherwise, if either of them do not work, it may help to switch dog food. What kind of dry dog food are you using right now? Jack is almost 6 months and eats Iams smart puppy small breed. He just loves it. Good luck!
