Thanks, I have been stuck like glue to this site for about two weeks ever since my hubby agreed to get me a yorkie and I have learned a lot from you guys. I have a pretty good idea what to look for but just wanted to be sure. I will be buying him for breeding but the breeding is a looooonnngg time off. The friend of a friend that I am going to buy a female pup from has seven yorkies. All the females ears are up but her males are not and she said she had never seen a male with erect ears. Of course with my newly acquired knowledge,
I let her know that, yes, indeedy the males ears almost always stick up. I can see that this ear thing is something I have to watch out for but I also know that once I see this little guy, I will be a goner for sure
. So you are saying the ears thing might be hereditory? I need to call my vet about that. Thanks for the info.
