That sounds alot like what happened with Lexie a few days after she had her pups. I copied from the post; here is what we did and it did seem to help.... Quote:

Just got back from the vet...all is well. Earlier this morning I noticed that the two nipple areas closest to Lexie's front legs felt quite different than all of the others. Not hard as rocks, but hard, or full. Called the vet, took her in. The vet said her temp was fine and the the fullness was due to them not being used like the other teats were. So far as I can see, those top two nipples are so small, there's not much for the pups to latch onto. She told me to apply a cool/cold compress to those two periodically, which should help stop the milk supply to them so that an infection wouldn't start up.
