I do not believe a 6 week old puppy could have killed a baby in a swing. He could not reach the baby. The swing would of had to be knocked over. If the dog did it I think the pug was in on it. I do not think the puppy could have done it by himself. And why were the cats taken?
I do not believe the parents did not hear anything unless they were asleep or passed out. Unless the baby was crying and they turned the music up so they didn't have to hear them. Whatever happened I think they should be charged with neglect. I know they are young, but I was married at 16 and had my first son at 17 and I knew not to leave a baby unattentended. Maybe the grandmother wasn't a good parent either.
Whatever happened an innocent baby and puppy lost their lives and it was so unnecessary! I cannot imagine how the baby suffered and I feel very sorry for the emts and police that had to work the scene. |
I could be wrong but I think in Oklahoma we do not hold the dogs they are destroyed to find evidence of rabies... when a dog bites a person and the police get involved I think the dog is almost always put to sleep.
As for if the baby was dead before or after the dog attack, I am sure the baby was alive when the dog bit him, postmortem trauma does not bleed as the heart is no longer pumping the blood simple congeals in the body.
They have also released this evening that the father of the baby, and the grandfather of the baby were both not in the house, and the child was left unattended for 1.5 hours.
Very sad story
