If you have a good vet, and you do.... (otherwise you would not have it scheduled.... ) there is nothing for you to worry about. Vet medicine has come along quite a bit and neutering is a very simple procedure for an experienced vet. He will be "groggy" when he wakes up from anesthesia and your real concern must be just "how to confine" him for the first few days so he is not jumping all over... well... this is what my Yorkies do anyways...
I had it done tons of times, spaying is a bit bigger surgery but not scary anymore... C-sections are a big deal but as i said , vet medice is diferent now days and they can do a lot and are so much more cautious. YOU WILL BE FINE... oh yeah... your baby too.
