This sounds like some serious separation anxiety!! Its a caution for all of us to have some type of leash/harness on them before opening the door! Some dogs have been seriously hurt this way in the past...
Make sure the harness fits, this little girl slipped out of hers. I thought it was fine when I bought it. I tried a few on her at the store before I bought one. I need to try a different brand, the first was to tight but the next size up she's able to escape. She can do anything when she wants her mommy! I don't know how the separation anxiety got started so fast. I've only had her 4 weeks, before that she was owned by a breeder then was in a foster home. I adopted her from a no kill animal organization as a "Breeder Release".
