I'd try using a Pheromone spray or plug-in that you can get at Petco or Petsmart or most pet stores. I got the plug-in that releases similar pheromone to what mothers give off... Its odorless and I use it for my pup when he's left alone while I'm at work. He cries minimally. I think it might help you. It will take time for your pup to adjust to his new environment. I've had my little one for 3 weeks now and I think he is finally getting the hang of living with us. I also put lots of toys, his favorite stuffed animal, and a T-shirt that smells like me so that he won't feel so lonely when I'm not there. Good luck! It will get better for you and for him! It'll just take some time.
