This happened in my hometown, only about 30 mins from me. There has been a lot of speculation locally, about the parents and grandmother, as to exactly what they were doing while this happened

I know on every infant seat, baby swing, high chair or anything to do with small children, there is normally a warning about "not leaving child unattended", obviously they didn't pay any attention to the warning. And, didn't have the common sense to not leave an infant and puppy together in the same room unattended.
Tragically because of the parent's neglect, a poor little baby has died, and an innocent (probably only playing) puppy has been euthanized. Neither had to happen.
I'm sure there is more to the story, there has to be.
