I am glad that your aunt got to see her dog and that she was better for it.
I have a suggestion that next time you vist call before you go and ask to talk to a person in patient services or patient relation and ask how you can go about gettin permission for your aunt to be able to visit with her dog and just explain the situtation.
Most of the time they are the ones to go to get things like that done. They are kind of a go between, between the pt., pt. families and the hire ups like the bosses.
Most hospitals are concerned with what thier pts want and want to keep them happy.
