Yes, the first time we saw the poor yorkie, it ran to a drainage culvert. We went home and brought back food, and the dog was famished.
It has been loose for 2 weeks at least. We heard 2 days ago from another man who walks his dog at the cemetery that the stray is STILL loose. As a matter of fact, the dog catcher said he knows where it sleeps. The dog is very smart, and sneaks between the cage and his bedding area to escape capture.
We think it is a male, approximately 4 lbs, and looks exactly like the stud dog for our MolLeigh. See pic posted at bottom.
The dog catcher/animal rescue said he would call us when he captures it. But it has been 107 degrees here lately. And you know yorkies are not built for outside living. We have no idea how the little rascal is managing it, but he does.
I hope the little fella makes it, and if he comes into our hands, we will place him in a good home. I have a feeling he will be VERY independent.
I guess the lady who also lives here in Holdenville does not want to answer my private msg.,

which is fine, considering all the weirdos nowadays.
But we really don't know of any other yorkie owners here in our small town of Holdenville, Oklahoma. We were hoping she might know someone who lost their yorkie.
P.S. I know our yorkie likes women much better than strange men. Maybe a soft voice and some coaxing will do it. We will ask a lady friend we know to try.
