If there's anything good in this awful situation, thankfully my dad installed 3 surveillance cameras on the property a while ago. I pray that his heart heals, that my family is able to stay safe surrounded by these crazy people, and that he gets justice. The FBI is hopefully getting involved because the local police are useless. The working theory is that it was done by kids...

I'm thankful no one was hurt. I have an aunt and uncle who lived in the same place all of their married lives (50+years) and it is now crime ridden and not safe at all. My uncle is deceased now and my aunt lives there alone. They have had police chase drug dealers across their back yard and they have found trash bags of money and dope in their yard where they were dropped because the police were after the druggies. They know the location of crack houses and drug dealers in the neighborhood. My aunt's kids have tried for years to get them to move, even before my uncle died, but they wouldn't and my aunt doesn't intend to leave where she has lived all these years and where her kids grew up. It's a constant worry for her kids and the rest of the family.
