Kong idea is great, make sure there are some amusements to occupy him when you are gone.
Keep arrivals and departures Very low key and casual. Take him out to pee and then give the treats and ignore him for a few minutes before you leave. A 'simple see you later' without fuss is best.
When you get home Don't do a big greeting. Say hello. Take him out to pee and then ignore him again for a few minutes. After you been home for a few minutes have a cuddle/play time.
Many times we project our separation anxiety to the dogs. Don't worry or feel guilt about leaving, they sleep most of the time you're not there.
