Welcome to YT. My mom's maltese male mats around the belly band and she just brushes him out every night. I started making her bands with a satiny lining with flannel in between the layers, seems to help quite a bit. You can also spray with a good leave in conditioner like Ice on Ice before you put the band on, that might help (also will help to keep coat from breaking). Once you start using a belly band you will feel so much better. |
