For those that want to help with animal relief in the golf coast after the hurricane Katrina. Here is a good way to do so:

Contact Noah's Wish, they assist with every kind of emergency and anywhere. Visit their site to learn more about their work (www.noahswish.com) or the Katrina Relief page, where they have pictures and updates on the situation there (http://www.noahswish.com/Hurricane%20Katrina.htm).

Another organization working on the gulf coast is the United Animal Nation (http://www.uan.org) with their The Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS). They even have a forum that you can post, you can even volunteer but they usually only use trained volunteers. The good thing is that they really help every animal, even farm animals, which some other organizations are unable to help.

Both organizations will accept money donations (done on the website) and also items.

It is soo sad what is happening out there, specially with the animals that can;t fight for themselves and can't express what they are feeling. Evacuees are not allowed to take their beloved pets, what makes the problem even worse.

Please help anyway you can!! And keep all these animals (and people too) in you prayers!!

I'm glad to see there is some sort of animal rescue starting to go on down there. Makes me so sad to think of all those stranded people and pets....
