Hey everyone! I didn't get Tink for the whole weekend, but I had her all day yesterday and we took a little nap together. Oh how I love her soft little furry body. She has turned into such a snuggler. I'm likin' it!

I tried to get some video of her walking but she wouldn't cooperate because she has decided to hop and run instead of walk. Can you believe it? I did get some video I think. Now I have to figure out how to run it. I think I have to put it on U-tube or something - I've forgotten!

Now get ready for a story that you just won't even believe. I thot I was dreaming or was having a moment of madness!

Yesterday Tink got a beautiful dress in the mail from Jodie - luvmysissy. It's a green top with a crystal frog face on it and a skirt of brightly colored frogs with a wonderful green organza bow with sequins. It's marvelous and sooooooo TINK! I'll post pics in a bit.

So anyway, this dress has a D-ring on the back as always, and since Tink is "disabled" for the time being, I thot' it would be safe to hook her tie out to the D-ring when I put her out to potty. As I set her on the grass, the neighbor, Paul, came out with his golden and Tink went crazy! She loves that golden - Jada - and she started hauling on that leash and hollering her head off. I thot' "Oh, how cute she wants her friend." All of the sudden, she lunged toward Jada and that D-ring let go! Off went Tink to get Jada, tripping over her back legs and getting back up and tripping again. It was so funny and yet it made me start crying.

Then in a flash, she realized she was free of the tie out and she took off like a streak of lightning. I have NEVER seen her move that fast. She tumbled head over heals down the hill of the greenspace and off down the length of the yard. And the farther she got, the better and faster she ran until she was running as if there had never been anything wrong with her and Jada was right at her side trying to keep up.

I yelled for help and Paul and Amanda came to chase her, and did chase her back to me, but never caught her. Her second time around the greenspace, which is about a block long, she heard me calling her and ran to me and JUMPED up into my arms. Paul and Amanda could hardly breath, I was petrified, Tink was panting her head off and looking like "What's going on everyone. I just had the time of my life!" I was afraid she'd drop over dead or have a massive seizure. But she just drank a whole bowl of water and then laid down on the living room floor and slept for half an hour!

Can you even believe this story?! I can't and I saw it! She has just been
waiting for a reason to sprint so she could show us that she is still the Tinkerbrat. She was limping somewhat later that afternoon and so I used my ice packs on her and she seemed to like that. I called Peter & Barb and Peter laughed so hard. He said he'd check her out when I brought her back but that it was probably some good therapy. He said "If she couldn't have done it, she wouldn't have." Sounds sage to me!

She still does have a little swagger/sashay/waddle to her walk, but I think it's her special little walk now. Makes me smile. And from now on, we know not to trust D-rings on a "disabled" dog.

I'll post some pics of that darling little dress in the Yorkie products thread. You'll love it, especially knowing the story that goes with it!
