I called my vet they said they recommended the bordatella injections also but that I would have to leave my puppies over night for observation. Because Yorkies are known to have negitave reaction to it. Thanks for all the advice everyone!
I agree that all vaccines should be given early on. All vaccines! Then that should be it. Think about it, we get vaccines as children we dont go in once a year and get boosters. Once your immune system recognizes these viruses it will not get it. But I still do get the rabies every three years because of the law factor. If your dog heaven forbid ever bit someone (mine never would) and they were not current on their Rabies Vaccine. The law suits would be ON! |
That usually is true when the vaccine is given after the immune system is mature. Before it is mature, it is highly questionable whether vaccines will last. Also, vaccines like lepto are bacteria and have to be boosted often if you get them. They do not last...
